Adam Hall is the Head of Sustainability at Internet Fusion and Surfdome, Europes largest action sport retailer. He grew up in the rolling hills and gentle surf of the South West of the UK, which shaped his passion for Surfing and an appreciation of the natural world, all enhanced by a lifetime of traveling.

 He has spent almost his entire working life weaving his way through every aspect of the surfing industry from the humble beginnings of the local surfboard factory.  A journey that provided opportunities to travel the world and years living in Australia and New Zealand.

Eventually taking a break from the surf industry and founding an environmental company aiding business to become more sustainable.

 Adam is now relishing combining both his passions as head of sustainability within the surfing industry and is currently in the process of ‘Greening ‘the company, with a key focus on single use plastic. Which involves eliminating plastic from the businesses operation, currently the equivalent of 2 million plastic bottles removed and rising internally, and working on the broader potential which lies within the companies influence amongst the industry it operates.

While supporting The Plastic Project and #2MinuteBeachClean.

All of which is delivered from a highly sustainable, state-of-the-art warehouse that has minimal co2 emissions.

 Adam has a business degree from Exeter University and holds numerous environmental assessment qualifications, he’s happiest being on top of salty water, below and everything in between in new far-flung places (with no marine litter!) with his young family.

After graduating from Wolverhampton University in 2002, Vinesh joined Carphone Warehouse under their retail management programme having been unable to find a suitable role in the Computer Sciences field, what was meant to be a few years turned out to be 10, spanning roles in store / warehouse and head office.

Since May 2005 his career has been all about Returns, initially looking after online returns for all Carphone warehouse brands, expanding to managing the end to end process for Returns through all sales channels, wholesale and distribution.

In his last 18 months at Carphone Warehouse accountability extended to head up Reverse Logistics for Carphone Warehouse, Phone House, Geek Squad and the Best Buy business - providing a reverse supply chain solution for the whole group, reducing costs and improving the customer experience hand in hand.

Then moved to Tesco in 2013 after taking a 6 month career break, managing Commercial Terms and Financial Planning, ensuring suppliers were signed up to a firm but fair Returns Agreement and the GM Returns team remained on track to deliver a great customer experience whilst trying reduce costs.

Vinesh now at Sky since October 2015, responsible for the end to end Supply Chain operations of Sky Mobile. Key focusses for 2018 / 2019 are to remove Single Use Plastics from the supply chain, drive innovation in fulfilment and continue to drive reductions in unhappy customer journeys.

Neil Kuschel is CEO Europe for Global-e, having joined the company in November 2017. He holds responsibility for all European Functions, including Business Development, Operations, Customer Account Management and Project Implementations.

Prior to joining Global-e, Neil had a 20-year career with DHL, working in Europe, Middle East and Africa, culminating with VP Sales for DHL UK, where he held responsibility for all UK sales activities, including Telesales, Field sales and Key Accounts and E-commerce.

These have been distributed right to the doors of 9,400 UK charities working at home and abroad.

In Kind Direct's knowledge and expertise is now being licensed to charities in other countries so they can help organisations in their communities to stretch their limited resources, improve and extend their services, relieve hardship and build confidence and self-esteem in the people they serve. Robin splits her time between homes in Scotland and Surrey and also runs two family businesses-property management and chiropractic practices.

After graduating from the University of Birmingham in 2002, London-born Phil Murton purchased a one-way ticket to the Far East in the pursuit of happiness! Eager to escape from leaden skies and high taxes of the UK, Phil found himself in the effervescent city of Hong Kong. A chance encounter in a bar then lead to employment with the Royale International Group. Over the next 16 years a career path developed that has included roles in Operations, Hong Kong/China Sales, European and Middle-Eastern Sales, Sales Management and ultimately a Global Directorship. With knowledge across products including international courier, air freight, warehousing/fulfillment and time critical services, and with a strong background in UK retail, the last 2-3 years has seen him develop a regional e-commerce division within the business which is now proving as exciting as it is challenging! Alison has spent the last 20 years in the fraud arena working for top Retailers such as Home Retail Group and Next, particularly Next Directory to develop their fraud online prevention requirements and teams. Alison is well known in the industry for identifying end to end weaknesses within the supply chain and developing solutions to prevent fraud and reduce retailer’s shrinkage in online fraud.

Alison has not limited her expertise to her employers, she is extremely well known on the Loss Prevention and Retail Risk Circuit.

Alison’s reputation spreads across many professional boundaries, including Retailers, Police, Government Organisations and professional groups. She is well known for her knowledge, expertise, professionalism, determination but most of all her relentless passion for the fight against fraud.

Although semi- retired Alison continues her campaign with the NBCS where she is working on a Fraud Sharing Database Project targeting claims and high returners. The product called Praesidio is currently being launched to major retailers and NBCS members.

Over almost three decades Alistair has worked at Black & Decker, Argos, Debenhams and now N Brown Group; with senior roles in Finance, Supply Chain and Operational Excellence. And, in the seven years prior to launching Retail Returns Solutions specialised in retail returns at Argos and Debenhams in the role of Head of Returns.

Combined with significant operational experience, and an MSc in Supply Chain Management & Logistics from Cranfield University,  Alistair can also draw on his financial background  as  a Member of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Alistair believes that retail returns  is very often seen as the ‘unloved’ or ‘forgotten’ part of retailing, which lead to his specialising in the area and ultimately launching out on his own. In this capacity he is now working with N Brown Group to help them develop their own tailored returns improvement programme.
